Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme
•It is a credit-linked subsidy scheme (launched in 2008-09) which promotes self-employment through setting up of micro-enterprises, where subsidy up to 35% is provided by the Government through Ministry of MSME for loans up to ₹25 lakhs in manufacturing and ₹10 lakhs in the service sector.
•It is a flagship scheme of the Ministry of MSME.

•NASA funded Catalina Sky Survey (CSS) have observed a small object orbiting Earth.
•It is actually an asteroid with a diameter of about 1.9-3.5 m.
•It is actually an asteroid, about the size of a car; its diameter is about 1.9-3.5 m.
•Unlike our permanent Moon, the mini-moon is temporary; it will eventually break free of Earth’s orbit and go off on its own way
[According to the researchers, 2020 CD3 was captured into Earth’s orbit over three years ago]
‘Responsible AI for Social Empowerment(RAISE) 2020’ summit
•Government has announced that it will hold the RAISE 2020 summit in New Delhi between April 11 and April 12.
•It aims to bring together people to exchange ideas on the use of Artificial Intelligence for social empowerment, inclusion and transformation in industries such as education, smart mobility, agriculture and healthcare among others.
•It will be organized by the Government of India along with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in partnership with industry & academia.
Market Intelligence and Early Warning System(MIEWS) Portal
•Launched by Union Minister of Food Processing Industries
•The portal will provide real time monitoring of prices of tomato, onion and potato (TOP) and simultaneously generate alerts for intervention under the terms of the Operation Greens(OG) scheme
•It would also disseminate all relevant information related to TOP crops such as Prices and Arrivals, Area, Yield and Production, Imports and Exports among others.
◽Operation Green: It was announced by the Union government in the Budget 2018-2019 with an outlay of Rs.500 crores.
[The aim of the scheme was to contain the annual price distress of tomatoes, onions and potatoes (TOP) in regions with high production]
1000 Springs Initiatives for Tribal Communities
•Launched by Ministry of Tribal Affairs
•The initiative aims at improving access to safe and adequate water for the tribal communities living in difficult and inaccessible parts of rural areas in the country.
•The initiative will help in harnessing the potential of perennial springs’ water to address natural scarcity of water in tribal areas.
•Springs are natural sources of groundwater discharge and have been used extensively in the mountainous regions across the world, including India.
